Friday Oratory, 30th Shawwal 1423 A.H., coinciding 3rd January 2003 A.D.

All praises be to Allah. Praises that are equal to His blessings and to His excessive beneficence. O our Lord! Praises be to You as much as they might be equal to the Grandeur of Your Countenance and the Greatness of Your dominion. Highly Exalted You, O Lord, that we are too disable to render you as much praises as the praises you render Yourself. I testify that there is no God save Allah alone Who has no partner, and that our Master and Prophet, Muhammad, is His Servant and Messenger, His best choice and friend and the best of the Messengers He sent, for Allah sent Him to the whole world as a bearer of good tidings and a warner. O God! Grant enduring and associated prayers of Yours and peace to Master Muhammad and his family until the Day of Recompense. O Muslims! I advise my sinful soul and you of fearing Allah, the All-High.

It is a tradition of Allah, the Great and the Almighty, in His creatures that when He wills to perish an assembly of ants, He makes wings grow on their sides, for which they boast and feel proud, and they no longer feel content with living in their holes or staying within the limits of the Earth. Therefore, they proudly fly toward the sky and race up into the layers of the air, starting to exceed their restricted limits and forget their being weak creatures. Unfortunately, only a few hours pass when they change into food for birds, sparrows and insects, and then they vanish completely.

This is the story of the American tyranny in the last few years or even within the last few days. A nation of humankind that Allah, the Exalted and the All-High, has conferred excessive power and capabilities the same as he confers wings to a group of ants. America has likewise boasted of its power and tyranny sneaked into its head. Therefore, it imagined that it is the single magnate who can have control over peoples' fate. Hence it turned to peoples' rights with greed to devour them all, turned to every type of wealth that Allah, the Great and the Almighty, has distributed among His servants so that the saliva of its tyranny has flowed with desire for them, and turned right and left aiming at gathering the universe provisions and including them all to its own account. It was determined to get whoever might be on equal scale with its power, or might be its opponent, away from its way.

It had a general look and found that the true religion of Allah represents the danger that threatens its advance on the way of the tyranny it practices everywhere. Therefore, it took the decision of antagonizing God and getting rid of His religion, law and the system He, the Exalted and the All-High, laid for the human family for preserving its rights and taking care of the justice that ought to be implemented among its members. It declared its war against God's religion and against the Islamic values, and - from time to time - we have got accustomed to harking and hearing words of ridicule against the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (pbuh) and to meditating and seeing caricatures, by which those tyrants ridicule the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (pbuh).

Dear brothers,

This is the story of the American tyranny when the tyrants rose here and there in the American community. I, naturally, mean the American tyranny, not the American people who enjoy such a lot of goodness as much as they enjoy ignorance and thought retardation. I mean the American tyranny that the Zionist entity wears as boots.

Things have developed to the extent that they have started to ridicule the Messenger of Allah overtly and in public by means of reiterated words and circulated caricatures. A lot of people feel pain as a result of such actions. I personally also feel pain, but I am likewise hopeful. This is because when Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty, ordains that He wills to eradicate a community of tyrants, He creates amidst it tyrannical and arrogant individuals. Have you not read the Words of Allah, the Exalted, {And when We intend to destroy a city, We command its affluent [to obey Allah], but they defiantly disobey therein; so the word [i.e., deserved decree] comes into effect upon it, and We destroy it with [complete] destruction.} [Al-Isra' 16: 17]? Have you not read the Words of Allah, the Exalted, {And already were [other] Messengers ridiculed before you, and I extended the time of those who disbelieved; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty} [Al-Ra'd 13: 32]? Have you not read the Words of Allah, the Exalted, {Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing. So, when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, we opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.} [Al-An'am 6: 43, 44]?

This phenomenon - of the overt and spreading tyranny, which leads its representatives to exceed their limits - bears in its folds assured good tidings. It is an unsuspected truth because Allah's traditions never have any break. O brothers! I have contemplated and found that this phenomenon accurately applies with the saying of Allah, The Exalted and the all-High, {Leave Me with the one I created alone, and to whom I granted extensive wealth, and children present [with him], and spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. Then he desires that I should add more [blessings to him]. No! Indeed, he has been toward Our Verses obstinate. I will cover him with arduous torment.} [Al-Muddaththir 74:11-17]. These words do not apply to only one individual; i.e., the person for whom this Ayah was sent down. Rather, the conclusion correlates with the generality of the utterance. It does not correlate with the particularity of the cause. Such Qur'anic Verses clarify the reality of both individuals and communities. They clarify the case of the one who is overwhelmed by tyranny, and whom Allah, the Exalted and the All-High, will give generously and pave, for him, a way widely open in order to increase in tyranny and to imagine - as I have already said - that he is the single magnate in the universe who has the right to gather from every direction, decontrols himself, gets abnormal in his humanity, believes that he is able to fold the whole universe - with all acquisitions it involves and with all others' rights it includes - and puts it all inside his own safe. Such are his imaginations. However, Allah, the All-High and the Competent, is in observation.

O brothers!

I have seen the picture that was sent to me, but I do not want to describe it in detail because the rank of our Messenger, Muhammad (pbuh), is much loftier and much more glorified than such trifle things. I have seen the caricature which was published in USA to ridicule the Messenger (pbuh) and to accuse him of terrorism. The Arab proverb came true when it said "She has thrown her disease on me and sneaked away". What is terrorism? It is tyranny. Is terrorism manufactured but in USA today? Is tyranny not manufactured for the whole world save in that nasty hole?

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) is the Prophet of mercy. His mercy is gifted to all creatures. a Prophet of peace .. the Prophet of the Religion which is spreading, nowadays, as widely in the West as a fire spreading in straw. It is spreading the same as light spreads in the darkness of a very black night. Therefore, the Prophet of such a Religion is non-ridiculous. Sooner or later, the tongue that moves to utter ridicule with respect to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) will be reduced to amputation and cutting, and the end of the nation which admits ridiculing Muhammad (pbuh) will be exactly as the end of those ants. It is the tradition of Allah, which neither changes nor it is altered.

O brothers,

I have to inform you that such feeling is not springing for religious austerity. Had I been informed that some people have ridiculed our Master, Jesus, Son of Mary, peace be upon him and upon our Prophet, I would have said that such attitude threatens those who ridiculed with destruction. Had I been informed that some people have ridiculed our Master, Moses (pbuh), I would have said that such attitude threatens those who ridiculed with destruction and perish.

The Religion of truth that we embrace, for whose principles Allah sent all Messengers, is the religion of the whole world. It is the one and only religion for the implementation of whose laws Allah sent all Messengers. It is the truth that Allah states in His Qur'an {He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus – to establish the religion and not be divided therein.} [Al-Shura 42: 13]. This attitude of mine is not springing from religious austerity at all. Such attitude is that of the servant’s toward his Lord. It is the attitude of the servant who is aware of his servitude to Allah and who has known the Message that Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty, caused the distinct elite of His servants, whom He has honoured, to bear. Such attitude springs from my feeling of the responsibility of bearing the Message that Allah has caused all His servants to bear. Subsequently, some of them were aware of the truth, so they made an alliance with Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty, and covenanted that they would march on the path of patronizing His Religion. Others broke their covenants, a group ignored, and another rebelled and were arrogant.

Dear brothers,

When I utter such words while I am assured and with steadfast belief in Allah's traditions in His universe, I do not mean to say that the Muslim community - according to the general outside appearance in the world of today - will gain triumph. The destruction of tyrants does not lead to triumph on behalf of Muslims who have got bored by their Islam and turned from being truthful with Allah to being tongues showing courtesy to Allah, finding it sufficient for them to utter a few words reiterated by tongues in place of committing to His commandments. Behold how Muslims nowadays offer their honors, lands, homes and wealth to be at the service of this tyrant, and at the service of whoever aims to eradicating the Religion of Allah, the Great and the Almighty. Behold how they offer all their sources of power to those who make fun of Muhammad (pbuh). Tyrants' getting perished for their tyranny is an enduring tradition that we never doubt. However, this does not mean that the tradition of Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty, will not apply to the Muslims who are straying away from their Religion, and those who have got tired of their Islam and plan for modernity as well as for what they call "innovation" or "development", about whom I do not say that they are lured by what Allah has forbidden; rather, they even rescind the rulings of Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty.

With respect to such people, the law of Allah is long enough. It passes several stages. Today, we might be marching within the following one: The sticks of chastisement that are falling down on Muslims' backs might awaken them, raise their attention, restore them to their sense or invite them to return and reconcile with Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty, first as leaders and then as peoples. Such is our behaviour, as Muslims, toward the traditions of Allah, the Great and the Glorified. We are marching along such a curve or such a turning, and our hope is that our Islamic Nation might wake up, raise our resurgence, return to reconcile with their Lord, the Exalted and the Almighty, and know that they will gain no way to dignity, to power or to wealth save by being truthful with the Religion of Allah, the Exalted and the Almighty. However, all hope lies in the Islamic peoples, which still have such a lot of good.

On the other hand, in the near morrow the season of pilgrimage to the Sacred House of Allah will come, and people will set out in dozens of thousands; rather, millions might crowd around the Ancient House. All hope is that those pilgrims will supplicate Allah all together, imploring Him to patronize His Religion and to destroy those who have declared war against Islam. The coming distinguished season of pilgrimage this year will never pass peacefully with respect to those tyrants. We, undoubtedly, do not possess anything whatsoever of the material power that those people - who have declared war against the Religion of Allah, the Exalted and the Glorified - are boasting of. However, we possess what is more dangerous. It is our faith and belief in Allah, our trust in Him, our veracity with Him and supplicating Him, especially in the seasons of good and the seasons in which Allah, the Exalted and the All-High, confers support, response and facilities upon His servants for their good intentions. This type of power is more important, and such power is more dangerous, and what is more decisive is results, and results will manifest themselves shortly.

I declare this and ask the forgiveness of Allah, the Great.

The prayer of the second oratory:

O Allah! Forgive Muslims [males and females], Believers males and females], those who have died and those who are still alive, and tighten, O Lord of the Worlds, the link among their hearts.

O Allah! We are Your servants and the children of Your servants, males and females. Our fate is under Your control. What You ordain is dominating us. Your judgement over us is just. We supplicate You by every name that is your own, by which You named Yourself, sent down in your deliberate Scripture, taught to any of Your creatures or kept with you in the knowledge of the Unseen - that You make the Holy Qur'an as the spring of our hearts, the healer of our breasts and the clearer of our solicitudes and sorrows, that You offer triumph to your weak believing servants in Palestine as well as in the east and west of the Earth, and that You preserve them from the plotting of those who weave plots.

O Allah! We supplicate your Grandeur to direct Your power into their breasts and to offer us refuge of their evil plots.

O Allah, Who sent down the Scripture, steered the clouds and defeated parties! Defeat the tyrants among your servants who have proclaimed war against Your Religion, Islam, and those who mock Your Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). O Lord of the worlds! Defeat them, eradicate them and send them soldiers of Yours. Direct so great waves of Your torment straight upon them that they become as an example for those who might benefit from such lessons.

O Allah! Perish them with the power that they are boasting of.

O Allah! Perish them with the weapons they feel proud of.

O Allah! They have come, today, with their pride, and arrogance challenging Your Religion and aiming to obliterate Islam. So, I implore You, O Allah, to humiliate them in the early morrow. O Allah, O our Lord and Lord of the worlds! I implore You, by Your jealousy over Your Religion, to perish them, disperse their unity and cause them to be destroyed by their own plotting.

O Allah! Make Muslims and the lands of Islam in your preservation and under Your shelter and protection.

O Allah! Keep the tyrants' hands and means away from the lands of Islam and Muslims and from the rights of Islam and Muslims.

O You, Lord of Grandeur and Honour! O You, Lord of Competence and Blessings! We implore You not to return our palms from Your generosity disappointed, O Lord of the worlds!

O You, the Most Merciful among those who have mercy! We have stood before Your Grandeur, possessing nothing but our servitude to You and our great need for You, so You are highly exalted above returning us disappointed.

O You, the One and Only God, who bestows refuge and dispenses with seeking one, Lord of Competence and Blessings! We implore You to respond to our prayers, realize our hope and reform the affairs of Muslims.

O Allah! Reform the affairs of the Muslim leaders and direct their hearts to whatever might please You.

O Allah! Inspire them to return to Your Scripture. O Allah! Inspire them good guidance. O Allah! Make them love belief and adorn it in their hearts. Make them hate disbelief, dissolution and disobedience, and make them, along with us, of those who are rightly guided.

O Lord! Forgive us, our parents, our attending brothers and their fathers as well as those to whom we owe rights and all Muslims together.

Amen … Amen … Amen … And All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
